Not quite what I wanted to do!!!

Hey how are my fellow buddy slimmers…..I know I have not logged on for awhile but  with my hubby home from the hospital and me back to work I have not had the time to blog.  Plus I was really sick with stomach flu….It was really bad. I tell you I have done a toilet marathon before but nothing like I did on Tuesday.  I did not know what to do bend over or sit on it so I did both,,,,,Anyway, while my body was losing fluids I also lost an additional 7 pounds now in reality I Guess it is good but in fact I lost ALOT of fluids. I guess I got badly dehydrated and I couldn’t think I could hardly focus and I was extremely weak.

ANYWAY The reason I am blogging is that since my hubby had his heart attack he has waited to be on a somewhat vegetarian diet and I am running out of ideas of what to make for dinners.  Low salt no cholesterol and low fat so I am calling in the troops(((you guys)))) to help me with ideas that can be whipped up easy because I work during the day and have two children are that are hungry after school.  So any information would be a help..

About funnel cakes …what the heck is that I am in Canada and I have not a clue what that is.  The only thing I can think of was when my sister went to the Dells and bought a deep fried Snickers bar…is that the  same…  .  You are right I can hear your arteries coming to a stop from here…if that is what it is..??

Well I thank you for the well wishes for my hubby that had a triple heart bypass surgery.  All has good incredibly well.  He had surgery on the 29th of May and was home on the 2nd of June.  They sure don’t keep you for very long any more, but that’s OK my man is back home and I am nursing him back to good health..

Bad way to loose weight!!

Boy have I learned ALOT about how the heart works.  As I mentioned in my last blog that my hubby had a heart attack on May 15th.  Thankfully he was at the hospital in the ER when it happened.  We have been told if he had not come when he did he would not be here today.  He had a triple bypass and Tuesday May 29 and all has gone well.  I am soo glad he did great.  The recovery process is going to be the hard one to do.  I saw him yesterday and he was not moving well but I guess well enough to get the blood flowing the way it should through his legs.  The doctor’s and nurses are so impressed with his progress I am thinking they may send him either closer to home in the hospital here in town or send him right home.  The 1 1/2 hour drive everyday is starting to wear me down…

But on the good note he has lost about 16 pounds and decided to change the way he eats and takes care of himself!!A thing I have been trying to make him do for the last  2years or so..Too bad it went to this situation before he changed his mind!!!It has also been good for my children, they are eating more fruit and veggies and getting more exercise.  Last night just for the heck of it they did laps around the house …..15 I must say…i don’t think I could have done that many .  I just hope that keeps up …

Things will be OK

I have not been around for any of my buddies for awhile.  Well last Tuesday my hubby ended up in the hospital with a heartattack.  Two  arteries are 99% blocked.  The only thing that saved my man, is that he was there in ER when it happened.  Now the next step is bypass surgery  on Tuesday.

But I think stress has something to do with it.  I found out I do not eat when I am stressed, I eat when I am bored!!

I just need to be strong for the children and him,  I keep telling him of how much better he will be after.  The doctors keep telling him it is just like starting your life over, with a brand new heart.  Not many people get the chance…

First camping weekend!!!!

Our family lives to go camping.  We have a seasonal site near here with my Mom and my sister and her family.  We were the  only ones out there and it was wonderful.  No phone no  TV just us a nature.  We have really bad grass fires around here and there was one about 2-3 miles away from us so the owners of the campground put us on alert just in case we needed to leave.  My son was a bit spooked out, when we came back from watching the firefighters, we spotted a skunk in the site next to us , it scared him a bit but Ithink he was really tired also.

I was really careful on how I was eating over the weekend.  I practised good portion control.  I just hope I can last thu the whole summer.

Haven’t posted in awhile…

I have not posted only because I have not been doing anything to get to my goal.  But two weeks ago,I woke up thinking I will never get to where I want to go if I don’t get moving.  I have started walking every morning about 4km and it is taking me about 45min which I think is not bad.  If I had time in the morning I would go father.

My weight has been creaping up lately but since I have been walking I have dropped about 3 pounds.  I  have control over the eating thing and it feels great to be IN CONTROL again.  I am only  a few pounds off of what my ticker says.  I will change it when I hit 128 again.  I have been thinking about summer camping lately.  We go every weekend which involves all things bad food wise, but I need to keep my focus on portion control.  It seems I am always eating out camping when I a not hungry.  We have breakfast then lunch then “happy hour”(which lasts a few hours)  Then supper right after then campfire which usually involves snackies and drinks.( sometimes too many).  I will be in my own little challenge this summer..

I finally figured it out!!!!!

It has taken me awhile but I did it!!

While I was walking this morning! I was thinking …that is when I do my best at thinking!  Why is it when you eat like crap you feel like crap .  On Sunday I put no bad carbs and no fats and nothing salty or sugary in my body and  I felt amazing Monday morning, all day rather.  So yesterday I did the same, with the exception of last nights dinner.  Even with that I feel really good this morning!!  I was up and I did not feel tired nor lazy , so I went for a walk .  It felt great!!

I need a kick right in the A@#!

Who wants to be first!!!  I have fallen and I can’t get back on…………..to the workout routine . I am still eating well, even over the Easter Weekend, I am not binging I am drinking my water but I just can’t find my mojo, I am hoping that since the weather has warmed up I will get on  track to do  my exercises.  Even my children are getting involved ( they just don’t really know it) every weekend we have been doing something either swimming or walking getting the Rollerblades out.  They are having fun exercising …but SHHHH don’t tell them it is good for them!!

When was the last time you got on a trampoline…….Talk about a cardio workout!!.  The children and I have a blast on it together!!
